Please note that in April 2017, Flubit changed the way they operate. They are now an online marketplace. Whereas before they would beat Amazon’s prices, now they can be more expensive.
Love Amazon but would still like it cheaper? Then try Flubit.
How does it work?
All you need to do is sign up to Flubit. Then take a wander over to Amazon and have a browse. If you find something you like, you copy the link. Then head back over to Flubit, paste the link, sit back and wait for a better price.
Where do the items come from?
Flubit is an intermediary. This means that they are like a middle-man. They will find the better price but not send you the product themselves. They take payment from you and then pass it on to the retailer.
What kind of discounts should you expect?
I gave it a go for a case for my iPad. I followed the steps above and three hours later I received an email to say that they had found a better price. I logged into my account, and sure enough, they had beaten the price. The case was £1.56 cheaper – a saving of 11%. Okay, so not a life changing amount, but it was still cheaper. So I ordered the case, and it was with me within five days.
Flubit or Amazon?
This depends on a couple of factors. If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you receive free delivery on many items. Flubit doesn’t take this into consideration and works out the cost of the item from Amazon plus delivery. In the example above, the case cost £9.99 with free delivery for Prime members. However, Flubit went for a price of £13.98 (£3.99 postage) and gave me a final price of £12.42. As you can see, it would still be cheaper from Prime members to stick with Amazon.
As I said earlier, Flubit is only the intermediary. If there is a problem with your item, you will need to contact the company that sent your product. This means that you may not get such good customer service compared with using just Amazon.
However, I would recommend that you always try them out before you make an order with Amazon. Click below to find out more.
