Fancy having all your household bills in one, easy to reach place? Then Onedox might be the answer for you.
I don’t know about you but not only do I find the cost of my bills increasing, I find that the number of bills is on the up. With mobile phones, gas, electricity, landline, broadband, TV and more, keeping track of them all can be a little difficult.
Over the last couple of years, several companies have released apps to help. Onedox has released their bill manager and claims “It saves you time and money
What does Onedox do?
Onedox allows you to place all your utility, TV and mobile phone bills in one place. But not only that, you can add your car registration so you can receive notifications when your car tax and MOT is due.
Signing up and linking your accounts is very easy to do. All you need to know is your username and password for the account you want to link to the app. Then, within a minute or so, you’ll have easy access to your current and past bills. Not only that, but you’ll be provided with a handy graph showing your monthly spend.
The whole process was very simple. However, I was unable to link my Vodafone account to Onedox. This isn’t unique to Onedox and I had similar issues with my WonderBill account. The issue seems to be due to Vodafone and their systems.
What’s in it for Onedox?
They don’t provide you this service out of the goodness of their hearts. To make some money back, they will provide information to you for possible cheaper deals for your utilities. If you decide to swap tariffs or providers and click through their links, Onedox will receive a referral fee.
Is it worth using?
I really like this app. I’m (sadly) quite good at keeping track of my bills, but this is certainly a simpler way to do it. But the winner for me is being able to link your car.
Your bills are presented in an easy to read format (and yes, it was a cold December!)
Plus, you also receive a “health score”. This tells you whether your accounts are in good order and whether anything needs to be done to improve them (ie pay some bills).
Is it better than WonderBill?
Having used both services, I have to opt for Onedox as my favourite bill manager. I prefer the layout of the app and find it easier to use. Plus, Wonderbill doesn’t provide a link to your car which I find one of the most useful features.
