I’ll level with you. This month, I hit a bit of a side income block. It does happen now and again, but it’s been the first time this year.
The first couple of weeks of August went quite well, but then I had a couple of weeks off work and got out of my usual routine. We tried to get a lot done with the kids before they want back to school and I was also writing bits for my blog.
Still, I carried on and hope that I get my motivation back for September.
Prolific was pretty poor this month, but that is always to be expected. Many of the surveys come from universities and of course, they are off for the summer. With a bit of luck, earnings should pick up after the middle of September
Fortunately, I managed to get a long study and focus group with Panelbase that paid not far off £100. I also managed to take part in a 90-minute mobile phone discussion.

There are various apps that reward you with money or vouchers when you scan your receipts. As I seem to be explaining a lot over the last few months, we’re not going out as much so these haven’t been as good earners compared to previous years. It’s still something I will continue to do though.
Take a look at the best receipt scanning apps.
No earnings this month
Total £0 (£151.14)
We’re also not spending quite so much online either, but there are still some opportunities to earn. This month I didn’t shop much, so cashback was very low.
Airtime Rewards £0.39
Total: £1.58 (£409.91)
MONEY FROM THE BANK
There are several bank accounts that pay you for having an account or give you cashback for certain bills. I no longer receive £2 per month from Halifax, so I switched over to TSB, which earned me £50.
Santander has announced that they will be changing their payment scheme too, which might see another drop in income.
See my post on how to be paid by your bank.
Santander £2.03 (includes £1 fee) (£22.75)
Barclays £6.50 (includes £4 fee) (£52.00)

Please note, I have not included any income from matched betting in this report as not everybody is comfortable with taking part.
