So, we’re approaching the end of the year and I’m starting to feel the strain a bit. 9 months in, and I find that I’m not checking survey sites quite so often. Instead, I have found myself applying for more focus groups. These pay better but can be difficult to get on.
It probably doesn’t help that I have a lot more work on in my full-time job, so I lost that bit of oomph. Plus, I’m also spending more time on this blog with a bit of a hope to increase my income from it.
And in all honesty, writing these posts take enough time on their own. Still, onwards and upwards.
One of my poorest paid months so far this year. Both IntelliZoom and Prolific are still down compared to several months ago. Streetbees, Qmee and Testable are also down, although I didn’t really check them much through September.
One great result was being invited to test some burgers from some major chains through Angelfish. I needed to complete two short videos and then take part in an interview with a couple of others over Zoom.

There are various apps that reward you with money or vouchers when you scan your receipts. As I seem to be explaining a lot over the last few months, we’re not going out as much so these haven’t been as good earners compared to previous years. It’s still something I will continue to do though.
Take a look at the best receipt scanning apps.
Total £33.50 (£184.64)
We’re also not spending quite so much online either, but there are still some opportunities to earn. Another month where I didn’t spend much, but I managed to reach £10 with my Amazon credit card.
Airtime Rewards £0.08
Amazon credit card £10
Total: £10.40 (£420.31)
MONEY FROM THE BANK
There are several bank accounts that pay you for having an account or give you cashback for certain bills. I no longer receive £2 per month from Halifax and Santander has also lowered their cashback rates, which means my earnings have dropped.
Santander £2.03 (includes £1 fee) (£24.78)
Barclays £6.50 (includes £4 fee) (£58.50)
Total: £8.53 (£100.28)
SerpClix £9.87 (£49.07)
MoneyDashboard (relinking account) £5
Total: £14.87 (£387.61)
Please note, I have not included any income from matched betting in this report as not everybody is comfortable with taking part.
