Why I collect your personal information

The collection of this data will allow me to administer and edit my website to make improvements and will also allow me to send out email newsletters tailored to your needs.

How I collect and use your personal information

I use third-party service providers to service various aspects of the website. Each third-party service provider’s use of your personal information is dictated by their own privacy policies.

Contact form

When you contact me using my contact form you will need to provide your email address. If required, I will reply to you through this address. It will not be used for any other purposes.

Newsletter

When you register for my email newsletter you will need to provide your email address. I will this address to send you occasional money saving and making tips that I may think you will find of interest.

If you no longer want to subscribe, an unsubscribe button will be provided at the bottom of the email.

I use MailerLite for the delivery of email updates and newsletters. They store your name and email address for purposes of delivering such communications.  Please refer to MailerLite’s privacy policy for further information.

Comments

Comments that you leave on this blog may be published and will be shown at the bottom of the post or page

Your name will be seen by others, but your email address will only be seen by me. Your email will not be used for any services by me. If you tick the relevant box you may receive an email notifying you if someone has replied to your comment. You can opt-in, or opt-out, of this at any time.

Your IP address is logged when you leave a comment. This is not public.

I reserve the right to publish or decline the publishing of any comment.

Cookies

I use cookies to improve the experience you may have on my website. It helps my website remember your previous visits and your preferences, which will speed up site loading time.

Tracking and analytics

I use Google Analytics and tracking tools to collect anonymised data about your visit to my site. This cannot identify you but helps me to adjust my content to make it more relevant. Affiliate programs

I sometimes use affiliate marketing, which is done by embedding tracking links into the website. If you click on a link for an affiliate partnership, a cookie will be placed on your browser to track any sales for purposes of commissions. This will not cost you anything and may lead me to earn a commission.

Household Money Saving is a participant in the Amazon EU Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.co.uk.

Embedded content from other websites

Any time you see embedded content on this website (including but not limited to videos, images and articles) this content is to be used in the same way as if you visited the other website directly. These embedded media files and documents may collect data about you, use cookies, have a pixel or re-targeting tracking from third parties and may be able to monitor your use of such content.

Sharing your data

I will never share your data with third parties unless I am required to do so by law.

How long I retain your data

I will only keep your personal information for the purposes outlined in this privacy policy. When these purposes have expired or you have withdrawn your consent for me to use your personal information (and I have no other lawful basis to use such data), I will delete the data.

If I should discontinue the website, all data I have collected will be wiped.

I will regularly review this policy and make sure it is in line with current guidelines.
