Survey Rewardz Review – Too Much Like Hard Work

Money Saver Pete Survey Site Reviews Leave a Comment

If you’re on the lookout on ways to make extra money in your spare time, then survey sites are a great way. But take a look at my Survey Rewardz review to see why you’re best off looking elsewhere.

Generally, I have made it my mission in life to avoid companies that use 4 instead of for in their names or use a Z in place of an S. I haven’t got any firm reasoning for it, but it seems to make me feel better. So it was with slightly gritted teeth that I joined Survey Rewardz.

I actually came across Survey Rewardz through a Facebook ad. This isn’t a great sign as I have often found that the survey sites that pay to advertise on social media aren’t the most generous. If they’re paying to adverts, it means they can’t pay their survey takers so much.

Who is Survey Rewardz?

Taken from their website:

SurveyRewardz is one of the world’s most popular market research communities. We pay people like you and thousands of others cash for participating in online market research surveys. It’s simple, it’s rewarding and not a bad way to voice your opinion

Now, I’m not sure what makes them one of the most popular, but that’s what they claim.

The good

Signing up is simple and will take you just a few minutes. Survey Rewardz will send you an email every time a new survey is available, so you don’t have to spend your day checking. Plus, you can complete most of the surveys from your phone, if that’s what you prefer.

And unlike a lot of survey sites, you are rewarded if you are screened out of surveys. This is only $0.02 but better than nothing.

The bad

There are a fair few things that I dislike when it comes to Survey Rewardz. The main issue is that the surveys don’t pay particularly well. Don’t get me wrong, there are worse survey sites out there, but there are also far better. This is because they act as the ‘middle-man’. Another company creates the survey and Survey Rewardz directs you there, meaning they take a slice of your payment.

But it’s actually completing the surveys that I have a real problem with. It’s one of those sites where you spend a minute filling out screener questions, only to be told that you don’t qualify and being redirected to more questions and having to repeat the process. Which brings me on nicely to another issue. Because you are constantly redirected, you quite rarely receive that $0.02 for being screened out. All this means is that you can spend 10-15 minutes of your time on Survey Rewardz, only to end up with nothing.

The money

There are a few options when it comes to payment. You can receive a check (or cheque if you want to spell it properly), which probably won’t be much help to us based in the UK, mainly because it will be sent in $ and it will cost you to cash it. You can withdraw in Amazon gift vouchers, but again this will come in $ so will only be useful if you order from the US site. The best option for UK customers would be to withdraw via PayPal. The minimum you need to withdraw is $1 and there’s a fee of $0.10 for anything under $10. Most payments are approved in 1-5 business days.

On average, expect to earn around 40 pence for a 10 minute survey.

Expected pay per hour: £2.40

My Survey Rewardz review conclusion

I’m really struggling to find much to recommend this site. I really hate spending 15 minutes fiddling about with surveys, only to end up with nothing. If the surveys paid more, I would say go for it. But they don’t so I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

If you really must, you can take visit the Survey Rewardz site.
