Do you fancy earning some extra money by completing surveys online? Then take a look at this Opinion Bureau review to see if this is a survey site you should join and how much you can expect to earn.

Opinion Bureau
I now consider myself quite the seasoned survey taker, having been a member of dozens of survey sites for well over seven years. However, experience has taught me that there are as many bad sites out there as there are good ones. Sometimes, it can take me months to figure out if a site is worth using and other times, just days.
The latest site to cross my path was Opinion Bureau. But how does it compare to my list of the best-paid survey sites?
What is Opinion Bureau?
Opinion Bureau is an online community that gathers your thoughts and opinions about various products and topics. And as a thank you for your time, you’re rewarded with cash.
Is it safe?
The site is owned and operated by Internet Research Bureau Pvt. Ltd, an industry-leading panel provider. If you visit their testimonial page, you’ll see a list of companies that they work with, including Dynata and Ipsos. In fact, if you’re an experienced survey taker, you may have been redirected to Opinion Bureau from other sites like Swagbucks.
How does Opinion Bureau Work?
Simply sign up using this link, and you’ll earn £5 for your troubles. Then, complete your profile for an extra £1. There are further profile questionnaires to complete, which should take around 10 minutes. You won’t get paid for these, but it will mean that you’re sent more appropriate surveys.
Surveys will appear on your dashboard, or you can have email notifications set up. I tend to opt for emails because most surveys are only open for a limited period or only need a certain number of participants. That usually means that it’s a first-come, first-served basis.
Once you complete a survey, your answers may need to be checked for quality purposes, so it can take up to 30 days before your earnings are added to your account. If approved, your money can be withdrawn after 45 days.

But it’s not just the desktop site you can earn money from. Opinion Bureau also provides a dedicated app. Although the surveys tend to be the same, some can only be taken from specific devices.
Another way to earn is through taking part in Polls. This just requires you to answer one simple question and you’ll be rewarded with 5 points. Once you reach 500 points, they can be converted into rewards. Ok, so it’s going to take you some time to do, but it takes little effort.

Why not take a look at my list of survey sites that pay cash?
The threshold for withdrawing your earnings is quite low at £10. As the surveys pay quite well, this shouldn’t take too long to reach, especially with the £5 you earn just for joining. As long as you actually receive the surveys.
Any downsides?
The actual earning process is quite drawn-out. Taking into account the approval and withdrawal time, it can take up to two months to receive your money. Survey sites like Qmee allow you to withdraw money straight away.
A lot of surveys from Opinion Bureau are looking for business professionals. Because of this, the number of surveys most people will receive can be quite limited. Sometimes, you may only see one per week, which makes it quite difficult to earn a decent amount.
And just because you’ve been invited to complete a survey, it doesn’t mean you qualify. I was sent an email telling me that I matched the requirements for a study that paid £10 for 30 minutes of work. But the moment I clicked on it, I was told that I didn’t meet the profile – even though I hadn’t answered any questions. This can happen quite often.

Payment options
I like a survey site that offers a variety of choices when it comes to withdrawing your earnings and Opinion Bureau has a few decent options.
- Cash (via PayPal)
- Visa prepaid card
- Amazon
- iTunes
It will take ten working days for your payment to reach you after you request a withdrawal.
Opinion Bureau refer a friend
A referral scheme is one feature I always like to see from survey sites. If you like a site enough, share your unique link with friends and you’ll earn a nice bonus. In the case of Opinion Bureau, you’ll earn £1 if your friend signs up and completes their first survey.
However, for the life of me, I can’t get my referral links to work and wonder whether the scheme is disabled.

What other people say
When writing my reviews, I always like to look online to see what others have to say. But in the case of Opinion Bureau, there isn’t a huge number of reviews available. Over at Trustpilot, you can usually find 100’s, if not 1,000’s of reviews by users of survey sites. But in the case of Opinion Bureau, there is little over fifty. It scores a poor 1.6 out of 5, with reviewers complaining about poor customer service or their accounts being deleted.
My Opinion Bureau review conclusion
I do like this site and managed to earn £11 within 30 minutes of joining. But after that, the number of surveys I have received has been limited. This isn’t a survey site you can rely on for a regular income, but it’s certainly worth using alongside others.
If you want to give it a try, then click on the link below and earn £5 just for joining.
