Need to stock up on some alcohol but don’t want to pay full price? Then take a look at these supermarket wine offers to see what dates the best deals are available.
I don’t have any exact figures to hand, but I’m sure that 2020 has seen a big increase in the amount of wine we consume and who can blame anybody? And although there are always bargains available, why not take advantage of a supermarket offer and save a further 25%?
Cheap supermarket wine deals
Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, M&S and Waitrose all offer cheap wine deals at various points throughout the year, so it’s just a case of catching them at the right time. Unfortunately, most of the supermarkets seem to run their deals at similar times, so if you hope to stagger your wine buying over the year using different stores, you may struggle.
Sainsbury’s 25% off 6 bottles of wine dates
Sainsbury’s only includes bottles with a minimum price of £5 in England and £7 in Wales. Excludes bottles 200ml and under, all Sainsbury’s House wine, all fortified wine, boxed wine and gift sets. You can purchase a maximum of 36 bottles. Offer is available in store and online.
Remember, Sainsbury’s has a Double Up event once per year where your Nectar points are worth twice their value. Taste The Difference wines are included in the event.

M&S 25% off 6 bottles of wine dates
Due to COVID-19, Marks and Spencers hasn’t run any 25% off promotions through 2020. If a deal is on, take a look for promotional vouchers that offer anything between £5 and £35 off. They can be found on leaflets which are usually kept near customer services.
Although the 25% offers have been lacking, keep an eye out for their on-going offer of 20% off selected wines.
None for 2020
Morrisons 25% off 6 bottles of wine dates
Morrisons bucks the trend slightly and doesn’t offer the usual 25% off 6 bottles. But the good news is, they have lots of different deals throughout the year. These include 3 for 2 and 6 for £30.
Another plus point with shopping at Morrisons is that you can often get as much as 10% cashback through the Airtime Rewards app. Use the code 8YXY4BLK when joining for an extra bonus.
And if you are a Santander customer, check your offers tab in your account. You can sometimes find as much as 15% cashback, just by using your debit card to make your purchase.
Further savings when looking for online wine deals
Check cashback sites before you make any purchase online. The major supermarkets are usually listed on there, and although cashback is only generally available to new customers, that’s not always the case.
Does Co-Op offer 25% 6 bottles of wine?
No, although throughout the year they do discount some bottles to £5.
