Co-op frozen meal deal

£6 meal deal from Co-op

Please note that at the end of August 2022, the cost of the meal deal rose from £5 to £6. However, they sometimes offer the meal deal at £5 if you’re a Co-op member (which costs just £1). Find out more about the Co-op membership scheme. However, it’s not available this month.

I’m sure we’ve all noticed the cost of our food shop increasing over the last year and it’s not going to come down in price any time soon. That’s why it’s important to shop around and get the best prices whenever you can. And you won’t find much better value than the £6 frozen meal deal from Co-op.

What is this month’s Co-op meal deal?

Seasoned Co-op shoppers will know that the frozen deals on offer constantly change. Included in this deal is:

  • Birds Eye 12 Wholegrain Chicken Nuggets 190g £2.90
  • Dr Oetker Ristorante Mozzarella Pizza 335g £3.45
  • Goodfella’s Stonebaked Thin Garlic Bread 218g £2.55
  • Cadbury Creme Egg Ice Cream Tub 480ml £3.50
  • McCains Smiles 454g £2.50

On their own, these items would come to £14.90. That means you’ll save over 50% when buying them as part of the meal deal.

Co-op £6 Frozen Meal Deal Terms

The offer expires on 16th April 2024.

The Co-op meal deal is not available in every store. Prices of individual items can vary compared to those shown above.

Unfortunately, if your store is missing one of the above items, you will not receive the discount.

The £6 meal deal may be available from Nisa shops that sell Co-op food.

The offer is available if you order online for click & collect or delivery

How to save even more

Let’s be honest, £6 for all that food is pretty good. But there are ways to save even more money.

Co-op membership card

For just £1, you can become a member of the Co-op. You will receive personalised offers each week and access to exclusive prices.

NUS discount

The student discount at Co-op was removed in late 2023.

Cashback apps

Cashback sites are an easy way to make money back when you shop, but the issue is, they generally only work when you shop online. However, Airtime Rewards allows you to link your debit or credit card to the app and cashback is added automatically when you make a purchase.

You’ll be given rewards when you shop at the likes of Primark and Matalan and any money you earn can be put towards your mobile phone bill. Sign up here and use the code 8YXY4BLK for a 50 pence bonus.

Please remember that the retailers listed on Airtime Rewards change regularly, so the Co-op may not always be listed. But it’s certainly worth downloading.

Bank cashback offers

Many of the major banks now offer cashback offers to your debit card. All you need to do is visit your banking app (or website) and activate them. Then, shop as normal and the cashback will be added back into your bank – sometimes as much as 15%. Some of the banks offering cashback include Santander, NatWest and Lloyds. And the best thing is the cashback can be earned on top of anything you get back from the two apps I listed above.

Receipt scanning

Did you know that several apps out there pay you for photos of your receipts? Just snap a picture of your receipt, submit it through the app, and you’ll earn points. These points can then be traded for cash or vouchers. And the best thing is you can use the same receipt for all the apps. Take a look at the best receipt scanning apps.

And if you like making the most of supermarket deals, take a look at the next dates for 25% off 6 bottles of wines.

Co-op alternative – Iceland £5 meal deal

Please note that the Iceland meal deal is not currently running.

Co-op isn’t the only company offering a meal deal, with Iceland getting in on the action too. Although you won’t get as much food as the Co-op, you often have a bit more choice when putting your meal together. However, some months are far better than others.

Select from

  • One of 2 pizzas: Chicago Town Takeaway Medium Stuffed Crust Cheese Pizza 480g or Chicago Town Takeaway Medium Stuffed Crust Pepperoni Pizza 490g (£2.25)
  • One drink: Includes Budweiser Lager Beer Bottles 4 x 300ml (£4) or soft drinks such as Pepsi Max Cherry Cola 8 x 330ml (£3)

In total, these items could cost you £6.15 – so a potential saving of £1.15. In all honesty, Iceland’s deals are usually much better than this.

This is an online exclusive.
