With so many cashback sites available, is there room for another? Of course! But is Widilo worth using and how does it stack up against the opposition? Let’s take a closer look.

Widilo
I have joined a lot of cashback sites over the years. Although they’re a great idea, I find that most of them can’t be compared to TopCashback and Quidco. These are the daddies of the cashback world and are rarely beaten for rates.
But new cashback sites are always welcome. More competition should mean better cashback for customers.
What is Widilo?
Widilo is an online cashback site. The company earns an affiliate commission when you click on a link on its site and go on to make a purchase. They then pass some of this commission back to you.
How does it work?
Widilo works in the same way as most other cashback sites. But if you’re new to the world of cashback, here’s a brief explanation.
You’ll need to create an account with Widilo, which won’t take much more than a minute – you’ll need to provide your name and an email address (and make sure you confirm it).
Then, simply look through the site until you find a store you want to make a purchase from. Click on the link Widilo provides and shop as you normally do. Once the cashback is in your account, you can withdraw.
If you find that you’re a little forgetful, you can download the Widilo browser extension. This will tell you when cashback is available so you don’t miss out. All you need to do is click on the green button at the top of your browser. Plus, you’ll get a £1 bonus on your first purchase using the extension.
There’s also an app available for those who shop more on their mobile. It works almost exactly the same way as the desktop site.
Cashback from gift cards
If you’re looking for instant cashback, you can use Widilo to buy gift cards. There are dozens to choose from, including stores such as M&S, Currys, Just Eat, and Nandos. These gift cards can be used towards purchases in-store or online. Cashback rates change, but they are often in the region of 2%- 8%.

WIP
Yes, I did say WIP. This is Widilo’s own loyalty scheme. As you earn more cashback, you improve your status with Widilo.
As your status improves, you’ll earn money for leaving store reviews after you make a purchase, more for referring friends and points, which can be exchanged for Amazon gift cards.
How long does it take for cashback to track?
Once you’ve bought something, the transaction should appear in your Widilo account within 48 hours. If it doesn’t, you can contact customer services and let them know.
My first ever purchase with them didn’t track (a great start). But I filled out a form on the Widilo site, provided a screenshot of my order and it was all quickly sorted out.
Then, it’s a matter of waiting for the cashback to become payable. Widilo states that it takes, on average, 30 days. In some cases, it can take up to 90. I’ve found that 30 days tends to be quite accurate. In fact, it’s a little quicker than rival cashback sites.
How much can you earn?
Cashback sites love to change their rates, so it’s difficult to give exact figures. For most stores, you’ll earn between 1 and 5%. But keep an eye out for boosted offers, where cashback rates are increased by a couple of percent for a short period.
If you use Widilo to swap utility providers or take out breakdown cover, you could earn as much as £150.
How are you paid?
Once you’ve reached £15, you can withdraw your earnings by bank transfer or PayPal. However, it will take up to 15 days for Widilo to confirm a request, and another possible 5 days for the money to reach your account.
Unlike some rival cashback sites, there’s no gift card option at the moment. Although most people usually prefer cash, gift cards often come with a bonus payment.
How does Widilo compare?
As TopCashback is often one of the best-paying cashback sites out there, I always like to use them for comparison when seeing if the rates on offer are decent.

So, Widilo is quite competitive when it comes to cashback rates. TopCahback paid out more for three retailers, Widilo for two and it was all square for three.
This is good news for cashback fans as it shows that Widilo is certainly a site worth checking out before you make a purchase.
WIdilo refer a friend
The good news is you can refer your friends to become Widilo customers. If they join using your unique link, you’ll earn a £5 bonus after they make their first purchase. This bonus increases as your staus improves.
My Widilo review conclusion
Overall, a decent option. Rates are competitive and cashback becomes payable in good time. And the loyalty scheme isn’t too bad either and it will encourage a lot of people back.
On the downside, it’s a little frustrating that it can take up to three weeks to receive my money when making a withdrawal. TopCashback does it within a day.
This is a site worth checking before you make an online purchase. Yes, I admit it’s a pain looking through multiple cashback sites when you want to buy something. But a few minutes of work could save you more money – and that’s what it’s all about.
