I worked in the housing special needs of the Housing Department of a Local Government Authority. When I retired, I worked for a charity that ran hostels for ex-offenders, helping them to leave their offending life behind them.
I note that you give the card to the Red Cross. What about St John Ambulance.? They do more work in the community and also go to the emergency areas, ie earthquakes and floods, though not as much as the Red Cross.

I was a civil servant working in Whitehall for the combined forces and other roles, this was many many years ago does this still count.? the only proof i would have is my official secrets act declaration and my MOD qualifying typing certificate.
