Looking for another way to make extra money from home? Then take a look at this Opinion Outpost review to see if it’s worthwhile.
Opinion Outpost is quite a well-known site amongst the survey taking community. To be honest, I have been a bit late to the party, so I thought I would sign-up and give it a go.
Like many other sites, you are rewarded with points for every survey you complete. Then, once you have accumulated enough, you exchange your points for vouchers or PayPal.
Who is Opinion Outpost?
Opinion Outpost has been operating for over 30 years. They enable you to share your opinion about products and brands, and you get paid for it.
You receive a decent number of surveys, so you can build up your points balance quite quickly. There is a great choice of vouchers and denominations to choose from such as Argos, Amazon, iTunes, Boots and at least 50 more. You can even withdraw into PayPal if you fancy cash. If you choose an E-voucher, you will usually receive it within 48 hours and physical vouchers within 10 working days.
Unlike some other survey sites, you can withdraw with as little as £2.50 in your account.
As an added bonus, every survey you attempt gives you a chance to win a £5000 cash draw prize every quarter.
Unfortunately, I found myself screened out of quite a few surveys. This means that you could spend several minutes answering questions, only to be told that you’re not actually suitable.
Another downside is that Opinion Outpost has a stock of gift cards. You could have your heart set on that £25 Argos voucher, only to find out that it’s not available. You then have to decide whether to wait or choose something else.
50 points are the equivalent of a £2.50 PayPal or Amazon voucher.
But how long does it take to get to 50 points? Point rewards aren’t particularly consistent. For example, one survey that lasted 3 minutes rewarded me with 5 points. Another survey took 19 minutes, but only rewarded me with 10 points. On average, expect to earn around £3-4 per hour.
Is it worth it?
I quite like Opinion Outpost, but there are better-paying sites out there. I recommend signing up but only for the shorter surveys that tend to pay more.
