Ipsos iSay Review UK: Worth Your Time or Not?
Are you looking to make some extra money in your spare time or fancy the chance to test new products at home? Then this Ipsos iSay review will show you exactly how the site works, how much you can realistically earn, and whether it’s worth your time.

Ipsos iSay review
There are better-paying survey sites out there, but Ipsos iSay is reliable and you’re rarely screened out early. There’s usually a steady flow of surveys, the option to test products, and plenty of ways to redeem points. It’s a solid site that’s well worth joining.

Pros
- Steady number of surveys each month
- Chance to test products
- Redeem points for gift cards or cash
- Rewards are typically instant
- You can receive points if screened out
Cons
- Limited number of surveys each day
- You can be screened out several minutes in
- Pay is average compared with top sites like Prolific
What is Ipsos iSay?
I don’t know about you, but I’d love to work more from home and cut down my office hours. That’s exactly why I’ve joined countless survey sites over the years (you can see my top-paying survey sites here). The problem is, many of them simply aren’t worth the effort.
Ipsos iSay is one I kept seeing recommended on forums, so I decided to properly test it over several months by completing as many surveys as I reasonably could.
Ipsos iSay is an online survey platform available in the UK and many countries across Europe and North America. You answer surveys, earn points for your time, and then exchange those points for cash, vouchers, or other rewards.

Is Ipsos iSay safe and legit?
Yes. Ipsos iSay is run by IPSOS EMEA Holdings Ltd, a UK-based company headquartered in London. Ipsos has been around since 2003 and is one of the largest market research companies in the world.
I’ve used the site for years and have never had any issues with security or payments. Rewards are delivered promptly, and the platform feels far more polished than many smaller survey sites.
How does Ipsos iSay work?
Signing up takes just a few minutes. You’ll provide some basic personal details and then complete profile surveys. These are important, as they help Ipsos match you with suitable surveys and reduce screen-outs later on.
Once your profile is complete, surveys start to arrive. You can access them by logging into your account, via email alerts, or through push notifications on the mobile app. During a typical week, I receive around four to five surveys per day.
Each survey clearly shows how long it should take and how many points you’ll earn. Points are credited instantly after completion. If you’re screened out, you still receive three points, which is better than nothing and more than many competitors offer.
Product testing with Ipsos iSay
This is where Ipsos iSay really shines. In addition to surveys, you may be invited to test products at home.
The process usually starts with a short survey to see if you’re a good match. You’ll earn points just for answering it. If selected, Ipsos sends the product to your home, gives you time to use it, and then follows up with another survey. Complete that, and you earn even more points. You also get to keep the product.
I’ve personally tested new washing detergent (it didn’t look great, but it smelt fantastic), as well as cereal bars, fruit drinks, biscuits, and even alcohol.

One alcohol study involved around 50 people testing drinks over webcams. You couldn’t hear anyone else, just the host giving instructions. I received free alcohol and a £15 Amazon voucher for taking part. Easily one of the more enjoyable surveys I’ve done.
If this side of things appeals to you, it’s also worth checking out other product testing sites.

Any downsides to Ipsos iSay?
Let’s be honest, the pay isn’t amazing. It’s not terrible, but you’ll earn more per hour on sites like Prolific.
Screen-outs can also be frustrating. Although you do receive points, they can happen as far as 10 minutes into a survey, which feels like poor value for the time spent.
Reward values can be inconsistent too. For example, a £10 Decathlon gift card costs 1,000 points, while a £10 Amazon voucher costs 975. I often find myself choosing the best value reward rather than the one I actually want.
There’s also the Ipsos reward marketplace, which is usually poor value. As an example, an Apple iMac charger priced at £79 in the Apple Store costs over 10,000 points in the marketplace. Those same points would be worth almost £100 if redeemed via PayPal instead.
In most cases, PayPal is the sensible choice.

The Ipsos iSay app
Ipsos iSay has a solid mobile app, which makes it easy to complete surveys on the go. I often use it during lunch breaks or when I have a few spare minutes. You can enable notifications so you’re alerted as soon as a new survey becomes available.

How much does Ipsos iSay pay?
Rewards are fairly consistent. On average, expect to earn around 250 points for a 25-minute survey. With a £5 reward costing roughly 490 points, that works out at around £5.50 to £6 per hour.
You can redeem points for:
Amazon gift cards (take a look at how to earn more Amazon gift cards)
Argos
Decathlon
Global Gift Card
Prepaid Mastercard
You can also withdraw cash via PayPal or donate your points to charity. Payments are usually processed instantly.
iSay referral scheme
Most survey sites have a referral programme, where you can earn a bonus for friends and family joining the site by using your link. Although iSay did run a scheme in the past, this seemed to have disappeared in late 2021. It’s still listed on their FAQ’s, but I can’t find a referral link anywhere in my account.
My Ipsos iSay review conclusion
So, is Ipsos iSay worth it? Yes.
It’s not the highest-paying survey site out there, but it’s reliable, easy to use, and more interesting than most thanks to its product testing opportunities. The fact that you still earn points when screened out is a big plus.
This is a survey site I’m happy to keep using alongside others.

FAQs
How do I earn more points with i-Say?
Make sure you keep your profile up-to-date. That way, i-Say will be able to send you more appropriate surveys.
How much are 100 points worth?
There is no set value as the gift cards you can claim differ in price. But roughly, 100 points is equal to £1. You will get slightly more for your points if you opt for Amazon gift vouchers.

As some others have explained, this company is known for disabling accounts and keeping rewards without explanation. I only used it for a few weeks, but I put in a lot of time and earned points I intended to redeem for a gift card.
Before I had the chance the redeem, they locked my account and didn’t allow me access to my hard-earned points or rewards. No explanation other than “something funny with your account.” I even asked what I could do to prove that I am the user and not a third party, but they gave me no further information or reasoning, no way to get the money I rightfully earned. I’m incredibly frustrated.
On ipsos you can now exchange points for pay pal vouchers, so straight into the bank via the pretty route if you want cash.
I had a revolting new cola drink to test a few weeks ago, it made me feel sick and I could taste it for days, still I got paid…
Thank you! I had updated elsewhere about the PayPal option, but not this post. I should pay more attention!
