Want to know how to earn Amazon gift cards for free? Well, below is a list of some of the best sites to join if you want to maximise your earnings. See how I earned over £1000 worth in under a year.
Amazon has come along way since I 1st used them in the 90’s. Back then it was just books, books and more books. But look at them now. Almost anything you need or want will be listed at Amazon and usually, for a very competitive price. That’s why I find having a stash of Amazon gift cards handy. It makes it feel like everything is free!
Unless you know a generous person (I don’t), nobody is going to give you Amazon gift cards for free. However, there are plenty of ways to earn them, usually without too much effort.
Last year, using a combination of the below, I paid for all my Christmas presents using gift cards from Amazon alone!
This is one of my favourite ways to earn Amazon gift cards. Swagbucks awards you currency (unsurprisingly called Swagbucks) for completing tasks, such as watching videos, playing games and completing surveys. These Swagbucks can then be exchanged for gift cards. There are plenty to choose from, and if you don’t fancy a gift card, you could opt for cash through PayPal.
Swagbucks takes a little while to get used to as you need to discover the best-paying tasks, however, it is by far my biggest earner for free Amazon gift cards.
Unlike Swagbucks, this is purely a survey site. For every survey you complete, you are awarded points. Complete a certain number of studies and you’ll also receive loyalty points too.
The pay for surveys is slightly better than Swagbucks and occasionally you’ll be asked to trial products too. Again, you’re not just restricted to cashing out Amazon gift cards, but these tend to provide the best value.
Possibly the easiest way to earn, as it involves you doing very little. Simply download software to your phone, use it as you always do and you rewarded with a free Amazon gift card. The longer you keep the software on your phone, the more you will earn.
Occasionally, you will find a special offer which earns you £5 in just 1 week.
4. Cashback sites
I bang on about cashback sites all the time because they are underused by most people. The fact is, they’re easy to use and there’s no excuse to why you shouldn’t be checking them regularly. Once you’ve signed up, all you need to do is visit the cashback site, follow their link to where you want to shop and shop like you normally do. Not long afterwards, you receive cash back into your account.
Now, you can withdraw this money in cash to your bank account. Or, you can withdraw it in the form of Amazon vouchers, which also gives you a small bonus. At the time of writing, Quidco will give you 1%, whilst TopCashback gives 2.5%.
5. Scanning receipts
Another simple way to earn money for your Amazon account. There are several apps that pay you for taking photos of your receipts. It’s just a case of downloading an app to your phone, taking a quick snap and uploading it. You are then awarded points which are exchanged for Amazon vouchers.
The more of these apps you have, the more you can earn. I suggest you take a look at Shoppix to get you started.
6. Amazon credit card
The Amazon credit card operates in a similar way to cashback sites. Every time you make a purchase using your card, you are awarded points. And that’s at any shop, although you do earn more points when you shop at Amazon. When you reach 1000 points, a £10 gift card is automatically added to your Amazon account. As an added bonus, all new customers receive a £10 free Amazon gift card just for joining.
This is a great way to earn rewards without much effort. However, it is important that you clear your balance every month. If you don’t, the interest you pay will probably outweigh the gift cards you receive back.
How much can you expect to earn?
I use all of the above (except I have now stopped MobileXpression for another piece of software on my phone) and can safely say I earn over £1000 of Amazon gift cards every year. Even without putting in too much time, most people could easily earn several hundred by just using a few of the tips I listed above.
And if you’re going to be shopping a lot more at Amazon now you have all these free gift vouchers, take a look to see if signing up to Amazon Prime is worthwhile.
