One app I’ve been using regularly over the last few months is Eureka Surveys. So how does it actually stack up against the other survey apps out there, and is it worth the space on your phone?

Not a bad app to make some extra money from. There’s a decent range of cashout options and rewards are usually instant. Like similar apps, you need to be picky about which surveys you complete.

I’ve been a bit slow updating my survey app reviews lately. Not because I’ve stopped trying new ways to make money, but because actually sitting down to write about them keeps slipping down the list. Eureka is one I’ve quietly been using in the background for a while now.
And yes, every time I hear the name, I still picture a naked bloke leaping out of a bath shouting “Eureka!” If you know the Archimedes story, you’ll get it. If not… Google it.
What is the Eureka app?
Eureka is a survey app that pays you for sharing your opinions. Alongside surveys, you can earn through offers, polls and referrals, all paid in cash or gift cards.
It doesn’t run its own surveys. Instead, it acts as a middleman, sending you to third-party survey providers. That’s pretty standard for apps like this, but it’s worth knowing because it explains why screen-outs still happen.
Is it safe?
Yes. The app is run by SocialLoop, LLC, a company based in Miami, Florida. They operate several similar apps and Eureka has been around since 2020, which is a good sign in this space. I’ve personally cashed out multiple times without issues, which matters far more than any marketing claims.

How does it work?
The Eureka app is available for both Android and Apple devices. Once downloaded, you will need to provide some basic details and you’ll have the option to fill out some profile questionnaires. This means that you should be sent more relevant surveys and will be less likely to be screened out part way through.
It’s important to note that Eureka doesn’t host its own surveys, but will direct you to other sites.
Once you’ve earned £4, you can then withdraw your rewards in either cash or by gift card.

Surveys are the main attraction, but there are a few extras worth mentioning.
Offers
In the Offers section, you’ll find games you can download and play. Reach a certain level within a time limit and you’ll earn cash. It’s basically getting paid to play games, though payouts are usually lower than on bigger platforms.
Survey bonuses
Occasionally, you’ll get a notification offering a 25% bonus on surveys completed within a short window. These are worth jumping on if you’re free.
Daily poll
One simple question per day, paying 1p. Not exactly life-changing, but it adds up over time.
Videos
Watch short ads for 1p each. Thirty seconds for a penny isn’t great, but it’s there if you’re really bored.
Account verification
Verify details like your email and phone number and Eureka claims you can earn up to 3x more. I can’t fully verify this, but it certainly doesn’t hurt to do it.
Location bonuses
Allow permanent location tracking and you can earn 8p when you’re near certain shops and watch an advert. Personally, 8p isn’t enough to justify always-on tracking, and this is one of Eureka’s weakest features.
Refer a friend
Invite friends and you’ll earn 20p per referral plus 10% of their lifetime earnings. This is one of the better referral schemes I’ve seen on a survey app.
How much can you earn from Eureka?
How much you can make from the app depends on how fussy you want to be. I have completed surveys that pay £1 for 5 minutes, which works out at £12 per hour. But I’ve also seen 20 minute surveys paying 40 pence, which equals £1.20 per hour.
On average, expect to earn around £7 per hour.
But please note… every time I have cashed out with Eureka, I have been asked to complete a short survey on my experience. This has taken a few seconds and they’ve paid me 80 pence every time (although it used to be £1.20). Long may that continue!
