Do you want to know how to earn UK Amazon gift cards for free? Below is a list of some of the best sites that will either send you a gift card as a one-off bonus or allow you to earn them over the long term. Put the effort in and you could make £1,000 in a year.

How to get free Amazon gift cards
Amazon has come a long way since I first used them in the ’90s. Back then, it was just books, books and more books. But look at them now. Almost anything you need or want will be listed at Amazon and usually, for a very competitive price. That’s why I find having a stash of Amazon gift cards handy. It makes it feel like everything is free!
Some companies will give you an Amazon voucher for free – either by taking out a service with them or by referring friends. But there are plenty of ways to earn Amazon gift cards too, usually without much effort.
Last year, using a combination of the below, I paid for all my Christmas presents using gift cards from Amazon alone!
What are the best ways to get Amazon gift cards for free?
There are various ways you can earn your gift cards; some take very little effort. Below, in no particular order, are some of the best ways.
Please note that these are ways to earn gift cards for the Amazon.co.uk website. They cannot be redeemed on the .com site, which is based in the USA.
Snoop

This is a budgeting app that is very easy to use and gives you insights into your spending as well as offers you tips on ways to save money.
It’s free to use, although there is a paid option with extra features if you choose.
For your free £5 Amazon voucher, click on the button below, create a Snoop account and link a bank account and you’ll receive your bonus within 28 days.
YouGov
This is one of the most popular survey sites on the internet. And you don’t just have to rely on surveys to make your money, but you can also download software and share your viewing habits.
You’ll be rewarded with points and once you reach 5,000, they can be swapped for £50 cash or a range of gift cards, including Amazon.
Vodafone
If you haven’t switched broadband providers for quite a while, then the chances are, you’re paying too much.
But the good news is Vodafone is one of the cheapest providers around. And if you switch to them using a referral link, you’ll get an Amazon voucher worth between £25 and £50. You’ll also get your own referral link to share with friends and will earn an extra £25 when they join – there’s no limit to the number of Amazon gift vouchers you can earn.
If you opt for standard broadband, you’ll receive £25 and £50 if you choose a Vodafone Pro II Broadband plan.
Branded Surveys
This online survey site is one of the most popular in the UK. With a constant stream of surveys, it’s a great way to get hold of a free Amazon gift card.
And, if a gift card doesn’t tickle your fancy, you can opt for PayPal cash instead.
Swagbucks
This is one of my favourite ways to earn Amazon gift cards and a bit of extra money. Swagbucks awards you currency (unsurprisingly called Swagbucks) for completing tasks, such as watching videos, playing games and completing online surveys. These Swagbucks can then be exchanged for free gift cards, which include:
- Amazon
- Cafe Nero
- iTunes
- John Lewis
- Mastercard
- Marks and Spencer
- Starbucks
- Tesco
There are plenty to choose from, and if you don’t fancy a gift card, you could opt for cash through PayPal.
Swagbucks takes a little while to get used to as you need to discover the best-paying tasks, however, it is by far my biggest earner for free Amazon gift cards.

Ipsos iSay
i-Say is a market research company that pays you for your opinion. For every survey you complete, you are awarded points. You will also receive loyalty points throughout the year for the more surveys you finish. Once you have enough points, you can exchange them for items from the marketplace or gift cards. These include Tesco, Starbucks, John Lewis, Marks and Spencer and of course, Amazon.
The pay for surveys is slightly better than Swagbucks and occasionally you’ll be asked to trial products too. I usually get the opportunity once every couple of months and not only do I get to keep the product, I get paid too! Although you’re not restricted to cashing out Amazon gift cards, these tend to provide the best value.

MobileXpression
Possibly the easiest way to earn a free Amazon voucher, as it involves you doing very little. Simply download software to your phone, use it as you always do and you are rewarded with a free Amazon gift card. The longer you keep the software on your phone, the more you earn.
MobileXpression doesn’t have access to your personal files, such as videos, photos or call logs.
New members will earn £10 within 2 weeks, although the rewards reduce after the initial period. However, you’re free to leave at any time.
inCompass Panel
Like MobileXpression, another way to earn extra passively by installing software onto you phone. The Mediacell+ app monitors your usage and will earn you a £20 Amazon voucher after 1 month. After that, you will earn £10 per month for installing the software.
Alternatively, you can be sent a device with the software already installed. This will earn you £10 every month. There is also an option to complete a 7-day diary, which you will be paid £5 for completing.
TopCashback
I always bang on cashback sites because most people underuse them. The fact is, they’re easy to use and there’s no excuse to why you shouldn’t be checking them regularly. Once you’ve signed up, all you need to do is visit the cashback website, follow the link to where you want to do your online shopping and make a purchase like you usually do. Not long afterwards, you receive cashback in your account.
When your purchase is confirmed and approved, you can withdraw this money in cash to your bank account. Or, you can withdraw it through Amazon vouchers, which also give you a small bonus. At the time of writing, TopCashback gives you a 3% bonus when withdrawing Amazon vouchers.
And if you don’t use these sites because you’re slightly forgetful, you can install an app onto your browser, which will let you know when cashback is available. Now, there’s no excuse to forget!

Quidco
Like TopCashback, Quidco will give you a bonus when withdrawing Amazon vouchers instead of cash. This is only 1% currently, but still worth doing if you’re a regular Amazon shopper. If you’re a Premium Quidco member and pay for membership, you will get a 2% bonus instead.
TopCashback and Quidco are the big players in cashback, but you’ll often find that they offer different rates for the same retailers. That’s why it’s crucial to be a member of both so you can choose who will pay you the most.
Shoppix

Another simple way to earn money for your Amazon account. Shoppix will award you with tokens when you scan your shopping receipts. These tokens can then be exchanged for an Amazon gift card, which can be added to your account. Alternatively, you can choose iTunes vouchers or PayPal cash.
SnapMyEats
Continuing on the receipt theme… this one wants to know what you’re eating. For every three food receipts that you upload, you’ll receive £1. Each month you submit a total of 25 receipts – so £5 earnings. When you reach £10, you can withdraw an Amazon voucher.
The only downside is that you can only take one photo. So if your receipt is double-sided, you can’t submit it.
Amazon Shopper Panel
Our final receipt app. And this one is actually run by Amazon. Scanning receipts within every month could earn you £5 worth of vouchers, which will automatically be paid into your Amazon account. You can also answer short surveys, which can help to boost your monthly earnings.

MSR
Measure Sure Protocol sends you short paid surveys to your phone. They’re very quick to complete and will reward you with points. Once you have enough points, you can exchange them for a £10 Amazon voucher.
Most surveys take fewer than 3 minutes and your voucher is sent almost instantly.
PrizeRebel
A survey site that rewards you with points for completing surveys, downloading games or taking out free trials. You can then exchange your points for Amazon rewards. There is also a generous referral program, so the more friends you convince to join, the more you earn.
And if you don’t fancy spending at Amazon, you can opt to receive money through PayPal instead.
Qmee
This great survey site allows you to earn from your computer or your phone. Surveys range from between 1 and 20 minutes, and plenty is always available. Once you reach £5, you can have an Amazon voucher code sent to your email address.
Alternatively, you could withdraw your earnings via PayPal – with no minimum cashout amount. And you can refer your friends to earn a little bit extra.
Use the button below for an extra 50 pence when you join.
InboxPounds
I’ve slipped this one in because I feel I have to, because they do pay in Amazon vouchers. It is actually one of the worst paying sites out there…
I would only join InboxPounds if you’re desperate to save up for something from Amazon.
Valued Opinions
A much better survey site for earning Amazon vouchers. There are a decent number of surveys and they pay a reasonable amount. And there are different rewards to choose from, so you are not just stuck with Amazon. Completing surveys here will sometimes lead to online diaries or focus groups that will pay you far more.
There is one slight downside though… you are charged 50 pence for every gift card you order.
LifePoints
Another survey site that I’m not overly impressed with, but still rewards you with Amazon vouchers. There are many surveys available, so it is ideal for anybody who has a lot of time to plough their time in an attempt to earn as much as possible.
Just don’t expect them to answer you particularly quickly if you have an issue.
Toluna
Formerly a product testing site, Toluna now offers surveys. Still, you get paid for your opinion, which is another way of earning extra vouchers. But you may be better off turning your focus to some of the other survey sites on this list.
Opinion Outpost
A survey site that gives you plenty of chances to earn. Plus, there’s a chance to win £5000 every quarter. Another benefit is the minimum withdrawal amount is only £2.50. Stick to the shorter surveys though, as they tend to give better value.
Surveyyeah
A survey site with a bit of a difference. Surveyeah allows you to join panels for products that have yet to be released and share your thoughts. Once the panel has been completed, you will be paid and you can then withdraw your earnings as Amazon vouchers.
MPanel
How do you fancy getting paid for watching TV? If you become a panellist with MPanel, you’ll have the chance to watch some entertainment shows and live sporting events in exchange for Amazon gift cards.
You’ll be sent a small device that connects to your phone via Bluetooth and sits in your palm while watching TV. This measures your reactions and earns you your payment.

Gener8 Ads
A slightly different but easy way to earn. Gener8 is a browser extension that can be added to the likes of Chrome and it acts as an ad blocker. So, instead of seeing ads that other sites choose, Gener8 makes the decision. You will then earn tokens and exchange them for many different rewards. These include electronics and popular gift cards such as Amazon and Game.
Mechanical Turk
Mechanical Turk is actually a site owned by Amazon. This is a crowdsourcing marketplace where businesses or individuals looking for the public to complete various tasks. Plenty of tasks are available; the more you complete, the more you earn. You can then withdraw your earnings into your Amazon account.
Tribe Village
This is a community with forums, polls and most importantly, surveys. You’ll earn points for completing surveys, which can then be exchanged for Amazon rewards.
Appino app
The more you take part with Appino, the more you can earn. Participate in polls set by the app and other users to increase levels, increasing the amount you earn when you complete surveys. And surveys are very short – usually 5 -10 questions. Once you have enough points, you can convert them to Amazon vouchers.
You can refer friends to earn extra points too.
Download the app and use my invite code 1543be.
Amazon Trade-In
Do you ever wonder what to do with your old electronic devices? Say hello to Amazon Trade-In. For selected items, you can send in your product and Amazon will add credit to your account. You can also receive a discount when you purchase a new item. Take a look in more detail at how Amazon Trade-In works.
Sweatcoin
Did you know there’s an app that pays you to walk? In return for downloading their app and walking, Sweatcoin will reward you with a currency called… sweatcoins. These can be used in auctions to win various items, including Amazon gift cards.
Amazon
Possibly not the first place you would think of when trying to find Amazon codes for free, but it’s always worth considering. Throughout the year (especially on Black Friday and Amazon Prime Day), Amazon offers free credit to your account when purchasing a gift card. This is usually a bonus of around 10-20%.

How do I redeem my card/voucher?
Most of the codes you receive will be via email. To add these to your account on a desktop.
Once signed in to Amazon:
- Hover over Accounts & Lists (top right)
- Click Your Account
- Gift Cards & Top Up
- Redeem a Gift Card
You can then enter your code. They will be in the following format as a mixture of letters and numbers XXXX-NBC9WP-56BF. Just cut & paste – it’s far easier.
On the Amazon app:
- Click the 3 bars in the bottom right
- Your account
- Manage Gift Card Balance
- Redeem a gift card
As a tip, if you receive a physical gift card, add it using the app. Follow the steps above and choose the ‘Scan your claim code’ option. Using the camera, your phone and the app will upload the code automatically.
Or click here to visit the account top-up page.
How do I spend my vouchers?
Just shop as you would typically do. Once you have found something you like, add to basket and proceed to checkout.
Next to the delivery address, it will say ‘payment method’.

Payment will usually be taken directly from your gift card balance. If not, click ‘Change’ (in blue) and select the gift card balance option.
Which is the best way to collect Amazon gift cards??
As you can see, there are loads of ways to pick up an Amazon voucher or free gift card.
I use all of the above (except I have now stopped MobileXpression for another piece of software on my phone) and can safely say I earn over £1000 of Amazon gift cards every year. Even without putting in too much time, most people could easily earn several hundred by just using a few of the tips I listed above.
My favourite way has to be earning from online surveys. They’re very easy to do and give me a constant income.
Hopefully, my how-to earn Amazon gift cards for free tips will soon swell your Amazon account. And if you’re going to be shopping a lot more at Amazon now that you have all these free gift vouchers, look to see if signing up for Amazon Prime is worthwhile.
FAQs
Is there a difference between vouchers and gift cards?
You may have noticed across the internet (and on this post) reference to vouchers or gift cards when it comes to Amazon. There isn’t a difference between the two as they are used similarly. They will both have a code, which is then entered into your Amazon account.
